The media could not be loaded. May 7, 2025 Update. - I haven’t returned it. The app seems to be working now and no issues with the updates as well. I really do love the sound of this speaker. Now that I’ve had it a few weeks. Using it a lot. I honestly just love the sound quality. I mainly use it in a screened in porch, and it’s been perfect. Changing my 4 stars to 5. I’m happy with it.I’m really torn. Part of me loves this speaker (especially outside on my screened porch) and part of me is VERY aggravated by this speaker and its app. I might just return it, but I’ll use it a few more days before making up my mind.I’ve had to reset the app so many times because it doesn’t stay connected to the speaker, when it’s not connected to the app, the app wants to you connect it to Bluetooth even though it already is. Also, it keeps saying there is an update, yet every time I go through the update process it will just say it needs the same update. Frustrating!Because of its size, I thought it would be louder than it is. Sound quality is more important to me than loudness, but again, for its size and drivers, I really did expect it to get louder, but the sound quality is good.A few plus’s is the AI light feature is cool. It only has two light strips, but they do some pretty cool things. The battery seems to be pretty good too.So, this is why I’m so torn on if I’ll keep it or not. I’ve had it about a week now, and for the most part it’s a pretty decent speaker when the app works. I’d wait for a sale though.Hummmmmm…..

It's nice to finally have a full size Bluetooth speaker. I use this when I'm working outside or entertaining out back. It is so much better than those other little Bluetooth speakers! I initially connected it to my phone without using the app. I used it for a couple weeks like this and it worked great. It has nice full sound and I was able to use my android phone's EQ to adjust the sound. It plays from any source accessible to the device it is connected to.It doesn't come with a manual so if you want to know all the button functions and how they work, you'll need to download the manual but, to best use all the features, you'll need to download the LG ThinQ app. It is unfortunate that in order to fully use the speaker, you need to sign-up for LG's smarthome app. Making things a little more painful, the app would not send a verification code to my email so I had to create an account on LG's website. Then the app requires you to put in your preferred musical genres and personal interests before it will let you access the speaker features that you paid for (really LG?). All that being said, to fully enjoy the features of the speaker, the app is necessary and it works consistently.Overall, this speaker is a little expensive but it sounds great, the battery lasts a long time and it has options for the budding musician or busker.

Powerful system with great versatility. The EQ capabilities through the app will allow you to dial in a great sound regardless of your source, and the amplification for this system is remarkable. The LED colors are a nice touch, but I wanted to purchase this for the sound and portability. We have taken this camping, to the beach, the lake, and our backyard on the provided battery. At 70% volume it has lasted over 4 hours on a full charge and it doesn't overheat when in use during these summer months. The value of this product isn't just the quality, but the portability and the ease of setup is simple when you follow the instructions from the app and included directions. Additionally, there are aux inputs so you can connect an instrument or a mic and get premium sound without a need to plug in to a power outlet. I have used this with my keyboard, an acoustic guitar (with pickup), and a bass guitar thus far and it has worked flawlessly. I haven't messed with the Karaoke capabilities yet, but the app makes quite a bit possible once you get it connected and working. If you are looking for an all in one portable audio solution - this will more than likely exceed your expectations for the cost of the system!

We finally got a chance to use this LG xboom Stage 301 Portable Party Speaker last weekend at the beach. I put it inside a clear plastic bag to keep the sand out and any water spray for safety, and wow it did not disappoint! We synced it with my wife's phone as she has all our music saved there. She hit play and shuffle, and for the next 6 hours we enjoyed the best sounding music we have ever heard from a portable rechargeable speaker. LG made this unit with heavy duty in mind, I'm sure we did not need the clear bag, but beach sand could easily mess it up if it got into the wrong place. As far as we are concerned, this unit is commercial grade and will last as long as the internal battery lasts, as long as we don't blow the speakers by having it too loud. If it sounds distorted, you have the volume up too loud or something else is wrong. We are very happy to have this and as the sun set, then we got to enjoy the light show it has with the flashing colors, nice! The pricing seems reasonable for such a commercial grade piece of equipment like this, it will take bumps and hits without breaking. We will be using this at all our outings as needed.
